Nick Praulins

Stockholm

I work on how people learn, communicate and change.

I design the learning, conversations, content and systems that help people and organisations make sense of complexity and do something useful with it.

My work spans leadership and professional learning, facilitation, strategic communication and AI-enabled editorial practice. The common thread is practical: helping ideas land with real people, in the reality of their work.

01 · Practice

Where I am useful

Four situations where learning, communication and careful facilitation need to work together.

01

When people need to learn or work differently

I design professional learning, leadership development and learning experiences that respect what adults already know and are built for what they need to do next. The test is not whether a session was engaging. It is whether something changes in practice.

02

When a group needs to reach clarity

I facilitate leadership sessions, workshops and collaborative processes that need to go somewhere. That means designing the right conversation, reading what is happening in the room and helping people move from competing interpretations to a useful next step.

03

When something important is difficult to explain

I help organisations turn complex subjects into clear, credible communication. This can mean an editorial strategy, a content system, a brand narrative or the work of helping stakeholders agree on what they are actually trying to say.

04

When technology changes how knowledge moves

At JobCloud, I work intensively with AI and LLM systems to build editorial skills, agentic workflows and better ways of researching, creating and maintaining useful content. The work sits alongside a larger strategic question: how to stay useful and discoverable as organic search declines and AI-mediated discovery reshapes SEO, AIO and GEO.

    JobCloud AG

Keeping career content useful as discovery changes.

At JobCloud, I work across the content and communication ecosystem behind jobs.ch and jobup.ch, two of Switzerland’s leading career platforms.

I am responsible for the Job Coach blogs, which reach millions of Swiss jobseekers each year. The work combines editorial judgement, labour-market and career communication, multilingual content strategy and strategic brand communication.

A growing part of my practice is redesigning how editorial work gets done. I build and apply AI and LLM-based skills, agents and workflows to improve research, planning, drafting, review and maintenance, while adapting strategy for a discovery environment shaped by declining organic clicks, AI answers and new forms of search visibility.

The aim is not more content for its own sake. It is useful, trustworthy information that people can find and act on when they are navigating work and careers.

  • Co-founder · Learning design and facilitation

    The Nordic Learning Company

Professional learning built for the reality of work.

I co-founded The Nordic Learning Company in Stockholm to create the kind of professional learning I wanted more of during two decades in education: research-informed, thoughtfully facilitated and useful on Monday morning.

We work with schools, educators, leaders and organisations across Europe on leadership development, professional learning and organisational change. Our work draws on practical experience and perspectives from across the Nordic region, without treating “Nordic” as a design style or a shortcut to quality.

My contribution brings together school leadership, learning design, facilitation and communication. I care about the work that happens before and after the workshop as much as the workshop itself.

03 · About

A career built around the same question

How do we make sense of complexity, together, and act on it?

My career has never stayed neatly inside one discipline. That has become one of its strengths.

I started teaching in Australia in 2006 and have since worked in schools and organisations in Australia, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. I have taught, designed learning, led school marketing, facilitated professional learning and worked in content and brand communication.

For seven years, I was Head of Primary at Phorms Frankfurt City Campus. For part of that time, I also held regional responsibility across three schools. Those roles gave me a practical education in how organisations actually work: how culture develops, how people respond to change, where communication breaks down and why a technically sound plan can still fail when it meets real life.

The questions have remained consistent even as the settings have changed. How do adults learn? What helps a group think clearly together? How do you communicate something complicated without flattening it? What changes when AI alters how knowledge is created, organised and discovered?

Today, I work across learning, facilitation, communication and editorial systems because they are different ways of addressing the same challenge: helping people and organisations understand enough to move forward well.

Earlier work includes co-founding Let’s Be Real, which supported international schools to take a more practical and informed approach to young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

04 · Experience

Proof and scale

Experience that informs my work

The value I bring is not a single methodology. It is perspective built through responsibility: leading a school, designing learning with educators, facilitating groups, working with brands and editorial teams, and building new systems when old ways of working no longer fit.

Let’s talk.

I work with a small number of organisations and teams on questions involving learning, communication, editorial strategy and change.

If you are trying to help people understand something important, bring a group to clarity or build a more useful way of working, I would be glad to hear what you are working on.
