Whether I'm working with a brand, a leadership team, or a school, the work is always about reading the room, building trust, and making judgment calls that no brief can anticipate.
I've been a classroom teacher, a school principal, and a content strategist and writer. That's not a scattered CV. It's the same instinct in different rooms: read the situation, build capacity, stay until it works.
Pragmatic by nature. Collaborative by instinct. I design understanding.

Content. Start to finish.
Content that performs isn't just well-written. It's strategically positioned, editorially consistent, and built on a genuine understanding of your audience.
I do all of it: brand communications, content strategy, and the actual writing: blogs, copy, social, campaigns. I've done this for established brands in competitive, multilingual markets, including through a full rebrand.
I think at the strategic level and stay through execution. You don't need to hire two people.

Facilitation and Programme Design
Most learning programmes transfer information. Mine build understanding. A room of people is not a prompt.
I read what's happening in real time, adjust, and design experiences where people arrive at insight through their own work. It actually changes how they think and act afterwards. That cannot be automated.

Educational Consulting
I've spent the better part of two decades inside schools, as a teacher, a principal, and a co-founder of a mental health literacy programme. That changes the conversation.
School culture, mental health strategy, and leadership development aren't problems you can solve from a distance. I work alongside school leadership teams from genuine experience of what it actually takes. Not from the outside looking in. From the chair where the hard decisions happen.

About me
I'm Nick. I work with organisations that are clear on where they're going but need help getting everyone there together; through sharper communication, better alignment, or stronger capacity to learn and grow.
I've spent the better part of two decades doing this across three contexts: as a school principal, a content strategist and writer, and a facilitator. The settings change. The work doesn't. Read the room, build trust, stay until it actually works.
I'm Australian, have lived and worked across South Africa, Germany, and Switzerland, and now operate from Stockholm in Sweden. I co-founded Let's Be Real, a mental health literacy initiative for schools, and outside work you'll find me training for HYROX or exploring the Stockholm archipelago.
AI, language & judgement
Large language models are becoming powerful partners in thinking and drafting, and used well, they can meaningfully support communication work. They surface patterns, accelerate iteration, and help teams explore ideas more efficiently.
At the same time, organisational communication depends on nuance that current AI systems can’t yet reliably discern: shifting sentiment, unspoken context, tone, timing, and power dynamics.
I use AI as a thought partner, not a substitute for human judgement, combining its strengths with editorial care and contextual awareness to ensure communication remains accurate, appropriate, trustworthy, and human.
